Instagram says it’ll stop supporting the IGTV app

Instead, the business will retain all video in the main Instagram app. A full-screen viewer and tap-to-mute will be available for every video shared to Instagram. Instagram is also working on a standardized way to share various sorts of videos (such as video posts or Reels).

The app was created to serve as a platform for vertical video, but it was only used by a small number of individuals. In-stream advertising will no longer be added during videos longer than a minute, and standard films will be limited to an hour.
